Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the
only permanent method of hair removal. Each individual hair is
treated by inserting a tiny surgical probe into the hair follicle
and directing a split second impulse of energy down to the hair
root. Electrolysis is only as good as the technician though. Also,
electrolysis is a series of treatments. It is not one treatment
and the hair is gone forever. This means that it is a weakening
process. After an electrolysis treatment the hair should grow back
thinner and finer. It also depends how thick or thin the unwanted
hair is. For instance, someone who has been waxing or tweezing
will need more treatments than someone who has not tampered with
the area.
It
takes time to effectively treat each individual hair currently
above the skin, and also those below the surface. Skin type and
location of hair must be considered. If you have thin, sensitive
skin, electrolysis treatments must be done at a slower rate. The
overall time needed to remove all hairs visible and those below
the surface will shorten with regularity of treatments. You will
see a definite reduction in amount of hair after each treatment.
In the beginning, most people will need weekly treatments, which
will soon become monthly as progress is made. Treatments on a
regular basis are necessary for permanent results.
Hair removed in the involved areas will require progressively less
time with overall decrease in the total time invested when
compared with other hair removal systems. Our system is the
perfect solution for hassle free, soft looking skin for life!.
Electrolysis is not an overnight miracle process. It requires time
and patience. Understanding
the nature of hair will enable you to have reasonable
expectations, and assist you in making the commitment necessary to
achieve the desired results.
Only about 50-60% of hair is visible at the skin’s surface at
any given time. These hairs indicate the follicles, which need to
be destroyed permanently to remove unwanted hair. Each hair goes
through 3 stages of growth (Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen). It
grows from its origin below the skin surface, appears above the
surface, and eventually sheds.
People who are able to keep regular treatment schedules reach
permanent clearance sooner than those who do not. Due to the fact
that hair grows in stages, all the hair that is in a given area
will not be “showing” at the same time. The hair needs to be
treated in cycles, depending on the individual visible follicles.
However,
the improved physical appearance and emotional satisfaction are
very rewarding and well worth the time and money spent.
Please
understand that electrolysis
requires dedication and consistency to achieve optimum results.
